Siddhartha has a robust Basic Science and Humanities department with state- of- the art infrastructure facilities and its laboratories are fully equipped. There is a provision for each student to do the experiment independently. The need for reading basic sciences in the Engineering courses is emphasized and focused which prepares the student for higher courses in main stream Engineering. The department includes Engineering Physics ,Engineering Chemistry ,Mathematics, Communication English and Professional writing apartfr om preparing the students pursuing higher courses . The department plays a major role in creating knowledge of fundamentals in Basic Science and HumanitiesWith a mission of imparting knowledge to the student community and keep them abreast with the global trends in Mechanical Engineering, the department has established well-equipped laboratories, covering all the specialized areas of Mechanical Engineering and Production Engineering. A spacious Workshop not only caters to the needs of students but also helpful for some of the small scale industries around the college campus. The department has been very active in organizing various programmes of general and academic interest.
